London Wanderings

So many possibilities so little time... Instead of treading the usual well-worn paths I decided to venture to places I've never been. First on the list was a river boat ride from Tate Modern to Tate Britain "home of British Art from 1500 to the present day" as it says in their publicity.

The journey is commemorated in this fab toy from the gallery.

Some highlights from the collection;

Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose - John Singer Sargent
Brighton Pierrots - Walter Sickert
Nocturne Blue and Gold Battersea Bridge - JMW Turner
Lady of Shalott - JW Waterhouse
Pelagos - Barbara Hepworth
Ophelia - JE Millais
Lobster Telephone - Salvador Dali
The Annunciation - Dante Gabriel Rossetti
Girl in a Chemise - Pablo Picasso
