I was reminded to watch this after the Diaghilev exhibition. It's an interesting and of course, stylish film about the early life of Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel and gives an insight into the reasons why she became as successful as she did.
I especially liked the scenes where she customises the raw materials she has around her into, what were for the time, original and avant garde creations. I'm also looking forward to the movie 'Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky' (who met at Diaghilev's production of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring) coming out on DVD next month.
