Bob The Street Cat

If you need to be convinced that however bad your life is you can still turn it around, then you need to read this. It will restore your faith in human and animal-kind!
London Underground's most famous cat, Bob, has a book out. Bob is a ginger tom cat who used to sit with his owner, Big Issue seller, James outside Angel Tube station. The inseparable pair were often seen travelling on buses in Islington and Bob was even given his own Oyster card by Transport for London.

It wasn't long before they became an internet sensation and, in caring for, busking and travelling around with Bob, James’ life has transformed. The huge online cat community Catster covered their tale, Bob was featured in The Big Issue and  finally the pair secured a book deal. The book is now available and the Evening Standard has an interview with James. The writer says of Bob "he has entranced London like no feline since the days of Dick Whittington".

  1. Fabulous book and well written by a lovely chap and his fantastic cat. It's been an inspiration and opened my eyes to the homeless.
I've even taught my own cat to do High Fives like Bob does. So looking forward to meeting Bob and James in real life.

  3. Jim you finally found your soul mate. I envy you very much. Take care Bob because he's worth it. I rescued a little gray cat here in St. Louis and she changed my life completely. I became a different person because of her. God bless both of you.
